TARA Systems Enables MagentaTV Teletext in Germany
We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Deutsche Telekom, Germany’s leading TV provider, to bring the beloved Teletext feature to their MagentaTV OTT services.
We have equipped Telekom with a specialized Teletext app for their Android TV set-top boxes, designed to enable straightforward updates and ensure clean separation of system components. But that’s not all.
For OTT services, Teletext pages are delivered through a web-based service where our Teletext Converter plays a crucial role. On the server side, Teletext data are extracted from the broadcasters’ DVB signals and stored in a real-time updated Teletext page storage. The app accesses these pages via HTTPS, allowing users to instantly retrieve Teletext content without delay, even after changing TV channels.
To ensure robustness and reliability, our system includes continuous monitoring and enhanced security measures. We’ve implemented advanced protections against malware intrusion and content manipulation, along with rigorous monitoring and surveillance to promptly identify and address any issues. This comprehensive strategy ensures a secure and seamless Teletext experience for all users.
